Currently, technology is being developed to reduce man-hours by modeling ICs such as DC/DC converters and constructing EMC macro-models of ICs that may be noise sources, thereby enabling EMC evaluation at the board and system design stages. However, in DC/DC converters, as an output current changes, the high-frequency current generated by switching is also considered to change. Therefore, the objective of this study is to develop an EMC macro-model for output current variations. The EMC macro-model was constructed by extracting the equivalent internal current source and impedance of a DC/DC converter circuit with varying output current by measurement. The results showed that the value of the equivalent internal current source varied with the value of the DC load current, but the impedance did not change. Therefore, the output DC current dependence of the current source in each frequency band was expressed by an approximate equation, and the equation was used to calculate the current source under load current conditions that were not used in the modeling and compared with the measurement results. This allows us to say that this is an EMC macro model that takes output current dependence into account. |
