[Invited Talk] Transparency in the dimABSA Task with Neuro-Symbolic and Generative AI

(in English) In the era of generative AI, enhancing AI transparency is paramount. The ACL 2024 dimABSA task presents significant challenges in extracting target terms, categories, opinion terms, and sentiment intensities from restaurant reviews. Traditional black-box Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis (ABSA) systems struggle to identify and improve errors effectively. This study introduces a Multi-Agent Collaboration (MAC) model leveraging multiple generative AI agents for detection and critique. These agents generate outputs in symbolic form, creating a transparent Neuro-Symbolic AI-based ABSA system. The explicit reviewability of agent-generated messages facilitates model improvement. Additionally, the MAC model, based on few-shot learning, offers a versatile framework adaptable to various domains and languages. This paper details the proposed model's architecture and demonstrates its effectiveness through experimental results in the dimABSA task, marking a significant step towards improved AI transparency.
