Spatial Performance Analysis of Sidelink V2X Using Cooperative Transmission with NOMA

(in English) This paper spatially analyzes the packet reception ratio (PRR) in sidelink vehicle-to-everything (V2X) with the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) using the cooperative transmission.
In NOMA, multiple vehicles broadcast their packets simultaneously, and receiving vehicles try to decode the packets by using successive interference cancellation (SIC).
In the NOMA-based cooperative transmissions, each vehicle superposes a packet signal from another vehicle with its own packet signal at a power ratio.
Unfortunately, the increase in PRR depends on the spatial areas of receiving vehicles.
To this end, this paper analyzes the closed-form expressions for NOMA and analyzes the spatial PRR.
Our analysis results showed that cooperative transmission improved the PRR by 0.5 over the NOMA without cooperative transmission.
