Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The PLIM (Packet-Level Index Modulation) method for IoT communication can increase the data volume of IoT communication by assigning symbols to time-slot and frequency indexes for packet transmission. However, since index detection errors occur due to oscillator clock drift between the transmitter and receiver, it is necessary to estimate and compensate for the clock drift. The clock drift value generated in a short interval has been modeled by a normal distribution, and methods for estimating and compensating the drift value have been proposed. However, the impact of temperature change on PLIM has not been clarified so far, even though it is widely known that the performance of oscillators depends on temperature. This paper implements a PLIM with a LoRaWAN module in a real device and shows the variation of clock drift in a real environment by experiment, and then discuss the impact of temperature change on the PLIM.
