Resource Allocation for Outage-Minimization Over Terahertz Channels

(in English) This paper proposes transmit power control and spectrum allocation schemes to combat molecular absorption losses and random path blockage effects in terahertz (THz) communications systems. To guarantee quality of service (QoS) requirements for instantaneous throughput and enhance total throughput, we formulate a sum-of-outage probability minimization problem for instantaneous throughput and a geometric mean throughput maximization problem. The former problem is solved via stochastic learning, and the latter through convex optimization approaches. Additionally, to simultaneously address QoS guarantees and total throughput enhancement, a regularized sum-of-outage minimization problem is formulated, incorporating a regularizer designed to mitigate throughput losses. Numerical results confirm that our approach achieves lower outage probabilities and higher total throughput than conventional methods.
