Base Station Coordinated Multi-Cell MU-MIMO Canceller considering to the Accuracy of Channel Estimation

(in English) In mobile communication systems such as 5G, ultra-high-speed data transmission anywhere within a cell is expected. In cellular systems, which the same frequency is repeatedly reused in all cells, communication quality deteriorates due to adjacent cell interference, especially near cell boundaries. The authors have proposed an interference cancellation technique near cell boundaries that simultaneously uses a virtual cell MU-MIMO canceler and adaptive beamforming to cancel adjacent cell interference by forming a virtual cell in which neighboring base stations cooperate with each other. In 4G and 5G, SRS (Sounding Reference Signal) is defined to estimate the channel response of neighboring cell users. In previous studies, we proposed "weight optimization" which modifies the weights appropriately, considering the degradation of estimation accuracy due to timing discrepancies of SRS arrival and evaluated the proposed weight optimization using a basic cell configuration with one adjacent cell. In this study, we consider multiple surrounding cells, which are the actual cell configuration, and evaluate the application effect of base station coordinated MU-MIMO canceller with "weight optimization" extended for multiple cells.
