[Invited Talk] Recent Trends in Quantum Speedups for Wireless Communications

(in English) The basics and principles of quantum-related technologies are outlined in this presentation, followed by an overview of recent research trends in the application of quantum computing in wireless communications. Firstly, four main approaches: coherent Ising machines, quantum annealing, quantum approximate optimization algorithm, and Grover adaptive search are summarized. In particular, Grover-type algorithms that achieve quadratic speedup in terms of query complexity are introduced in detail. Then, typical problems in wireless communications, that have a trade-off between performance and complexity, are discussed with related studies to show how quantum computing can potentially mitigate the fundamental trade-off.
