Waveguide 3x2-slot subarray antenna for millimeter-wave car radar

(in English) We designed a 2x2-slot subarray antenna which consists of hollow waveguide for millimeter-wave car radar in the 76 GHz band. We achieved a target value for the beamwidth in the E-plane (horizontal plane), however, we didn’t achieve the target value in the H-plane (vertical plane) and that for the gain. In this manuscript, we add slots in the H-plane and design a 3x2-slot subarray antenna in the 76 GHz band. Its cavity is designed to reduce phase difference among the slots. We change the slot length, the slot width and the slot spacing to improve the gain. It is designed for a wide bandwidth by double resonance with two reflection-suppressing walls in the feeding part. The antenna has -10dB reflection over 75.4GHz ~ 81.0GHz, the gain of 15.65dBi and the sidelobe level of -17.5dB at 78.5GHz.
