[Invited Lecture] Examination of the propagation loss prediction method in the area where people gather

(in English) The mobile communication systems using the high frequency is considered, and the shadowing loss of a human body is studied. Since a system design requires the distance characteristics of a propagation loss, the prediction method of the propagation loss for the area where people gather was considered. The range of the frequency is a microwave band. The calculating method of a shadowing loss by human bodies using a shadowing area and an aperture area is shown. And, based on Multi-screen diffraction model, the calculating method of an excess loss when base-station height is higher than a human bodies is shown as an example. Furthermore, it is shown that both losses are not dependent on a frequency.
