A Game Development Method for Beginner Teams Based on Scrum

(in English) In recent years, activities where beginners develop games as part of team-based learning and programming education have been practiced. In the software field, Scrum is often used as a team development method. However, in game development, it is difficult for team members to understand each other's tasks due to the wide range of expertise involved, making it challenging to identify issues. Therefore, it is important to maintain task transparency and create a system where problems can be quickly identified and improved. This study proposes a method to support beginner teams in game development based on Scrum. Additionally, the method was introduced in a university course, and its effectiveness was evaluated.
