How to conduct power electronics research and development to prevent national financial collapse
Daisuke Arai, Yu Yonezawa, Jun Imaoka, Masayoshi Yamamoto (Nagoya Univ.) EE2024-6
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper is a continuation of EE2023-62, EE2022-28, EE2022-14, EE2022-8, EE2021-56, and EE2021-50, which have been presented in series at the EE Group from 2022 to 2024. So far, we have given an overview of double-entry bookkeeping and balance sheets and explained that the issuance of government bonds denominated in a country's own currency does not cause a national financial collapse. We have also shown that the national budget should be prepared on the premise of the above and that the policies that power electronics industry should pursue can be seen through ideal fiscal management. However, the dominant discourse in Japan is still that the government will go bankrupt by issuing government bonds, and industrial policies are formulated based on this assumption, which only leads to reduce Japan's industrial competitiveness. In this paper, we will simulate a realistic national fiscal collapse. It will become clear that the collapse of national finances is not brought by the issuance of government bonds, but by the non-issuance of government bonds. Through the simulation of national financial collapse, we will also clarify the policy that power electronics industry should aim for.
