The vehicle routing planning in logistics and pick-up and drop-off operations is a very burdensome task, and improving the efficiency of this task has become a challenge. The vehicle routing problem can be formulated as a Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Window (VRPTW), and research is still being conducted to optimize this problem with high accuracy. One of the methods is the Genetic Algorithm (GA). In this study, we focus on this GA and propose an optimization method that dynamically switches multiple crossovers according to the diversity of the gene population. Experiments were conducted using pick-up and drop-off data from a day-care facility for school children, and it was confirmed that the optimization accuracy was improved compared to the case where only a single crossover is used. |
