Revisiting the Lossy Signature Scheme Based on DSDL Problem Tihang Wijaya, Bagus Santoso (UEC) IT2024-20 |

In this paper, we revisit the lossy signature scheme based on Decisional Short Discrete Logarithm (DSDL) problem proposed by Abdalla et al. We show that we can make the security proof tighter by minimal modifications on the scheme and by introducing a generalization of DSDL problem which we called textit{Decisional Bounded Discrete Logarithm (DBDL) problem} as the foundation of the security proof. By assuming that the DBDL problem has the same hardness as the DSDL problem, we show that we can decrease the size of the group order of the public key considerably, i.e., $112$ bits decrease in $80$ bit security and $252$ bits decrease in $128$ bit security. |
