An Evaluation of Visual Icons Animation for Body Movement Instruction Interface at Remote Collaboration System

(in English) In remote cooperative work involving physical movements, an instructor needs to guide a worker on how to move their body remotely. However, it is difficult to convey the detailed nuances of the movements verbally through a video call. To address this issue, we proposed a method of body movement guidance using visual icons in a previous study. Nevertheless, there was a problem in adequately conveying the amount of movement. This paper proposes a method for representing the amount of movement using animated icons, and reports an evaluation involving nine participants with the proposed method.
