(in English) In respiration rate estimation using wireless LAN channel state information (CSI), a detection principle explained by the Fresnel zone boundary has been proposed.
This principle explains that when a single object reflecting radio waves crosses the Fresnel zone boundaries between transmitter and receiver perpendicularly, the received signal strength exhibits sinusoidal-like fluctuations with peaks and troughs at the boundaries.
The magnitude of these fluctuations causes variations in sensing accuracy.
This report confirms the validity of this principle through CSI measurements and demonstrates the importance of antenna pair selection as well as subcarrier selection as has been conducted in previous studies.
Additionally, we proposed metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of antenna pair and subcarrier selection.
