Analog CMOS circuit implementation of STDP and its application to classification tasks

(in English) STDP, a learning rule suitable for spiking neural networks, learns from local spike timing differences between neurons. We designed an analog circuit that reproduces the STDP function with flexibly and adaptively to external inputs, and succeeded in reproducing a biologically effective STDP curve while minimizing the number of elements by utilizing the analog characteristics of transistors. We implemented this circuit in an LSI and showed that the desired STDP characteristics were obtained by measuring the circuit. We also demonstrated that this circuit can be applied to classification tasks by simulation.
