(in English) Accurate assessment of muscle strength is crucial for diagnosing musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, ¬ identifying muscle weakness and atrophy. In addition, it also plays an important role in selecting appropriate treatment, monitoring patient progress, evaluating the efficacy of treatment, and predicting prognosis. In cases of peripheral nerve injury, muscle contraction during the early stages of recovery is minimal, requiring appropriate monitoring of minimal muscle strength is important for the evaluation of the reinnervation process. However, it is currently difficult to evaluate the changes in minimal muscle strength over time easily. The objective of this study is to develop an objective evaluation index using surface electromyogram to assess minimal muscle strength in the upper arm in patients with peripheral nerve injury and to evaluate changes in minimal muscle strength over time. In this paper, we presents the initial findings of the study towards objective evaluation of minimal muscle strength, which include the limb positions and measurement methods using surface electromyogram.
