We performed dynamic strain measurements over 1-km distance using phase-noise-compensated optical frequency domain reflectometry. Light source was a trapezoidal wavelength-swept laser with 100 kHz linewidth, 600 nm/s sweep rate, and 5 Hz modulation frequency, and using up-chirped and down-chirped Rayleigh scattering spectrum for measurement, strain measurement was achieved with refresh rate of 10 Hz. Dynamic strains with amplitudes of 300 µε and frequencies of 3 Hz and 4 Hz at a spatial resolution of 8 cm were confirmed in this article. |
