(in English) The IOWN Global Forum is currently discussing the IOWN concept, which will bring about an innovative world through innovative technologies centered on light. However, to realize the IOWN concept, a computing power on a scale that is incomparable to that of the past will be required. Therefore, the authors are conducting research and development of Data-Centric Infrastructure (DCI), which will utilize photonics-electronics convergence technology to create a computer infrastructure with better power efficiency than conventional technologies. In this presentation, we will explain the basic concept and technology overview of DCI, and show the direction of future computers that utilize photonics technology.
