A study on determining the periodic interval for multi-stage stubs

(in English) Filter synthesis theory is generally used to design a wideband Band Stop Filter (BSF). However, because a filter prototype is used, the resonator shape must be changed for each element. This is a major disadvantage in the design and manufacturing process. In contrast, a periodic structure can be realized by arranging resonators of the same shape, making it easy to design, but the resonator spacing becomes a new design parameter. In this report, we designed a periodic BSF by focusing on the stub width related to bandwidth broadening and the method of determining the stub spacing in cascade connection. The required specifications for the BSF were |S21| = -30 dB and a relative bandwidth of 4%.
