Vectorial mode convertors, which transform an input vectorial mode group into a different mode group, are important in many applications. We have previously proposed and numerically demonstrated that arbitrary vectorial mode conversion can be realized by using a multi-layer metasurface with birefringence. Here, we report on the design and fabrication of a compact polarization and spatial mode multiplexer with a reflective metasurface and its experimental demonstration. |
