The plasma environment in the solar system changes day by day depending on solar activity. Its impact extends not only to satellites and astronauts but also to our daily lives. A variety of electromagnetic waves (plasma waves) are generated by wave-particle interaction in space, and it is very important to measure them precisely to understand the physical processes that govern the plasma environment. In this paper, we introduce the technologies implemented in the plasma wave instruments aboard the geospace satellite "Arase" and the Mercury explorer "Mio." We also introduce our new trial for the next-generation instruments to be implemented in future missions. |
