[Poster Presentation] Design of 2nd-Harmonic and 4th-Harmonic Single-Push Oscillators Stabilized by Transmission-Line Resonators for Phase Noise Reduction

(in English) This paper proposes two low phase noise Single-Push oscillators: a 2nd-harmonic oscillator and a 4th-harmonic oscillator. Unlike Push-Push oscillators, the Single-Push oscillator consists of only one sub-oscillator and a ring resonator. As a result, the proposed configuration is small and cost effective, but the phase-noise performance becomes worse. To solve the issue, the proposed oscillators load transmission-line resonators to stabilize the resonant field in the ring resonator. The proposed Single-Push oscillators are successfully designed. This work was originally presented in the 77th Joint Conference of Electrical, Electronics and Information Engineers in Kyushu.
