(in English) In this paper, we discuss a concept and performance of a newly proposed 3rd-harmonic oscillator. The proposed oscillator employs a partially grounded microstrip-line resonator, which effectively suppresses the undesired fundamental and 2nd-harmonic signal. Furthermore, it is cost-effective due to its simple configuration and compact structure. The proposed oscillator is designed and measured. The measured output power is −25.8dBm at the 3rd-harmonic frequency with effective suppression of the undesired signals. This work was originally presented in the 76th Joint Conference of Electrical, Electronics and Information Engineers in Kyushu.
