[Poster Presentation] Center-fed Microstrip Antenna Array Fed by Slotted Broadband Transition from SIW to Two MSLs in 300-GHz Band

(in English) A center-fed microstrip antenna array (MSAA) fed from a broadband transition between an substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) and two microstrip lines (MSLs) is proposed in this work. The SIW-MSL transition connects between SIW and two differential-output MSLs over broad frequency bandwidth by forming a cavity and a back-short structure in the multi-layer substrate. A radiation slot was formed on the proposed transition. Radiation from the slot is controlled to obtain uniform aperture distribution at the center of the microstrip array. Two 20-element MSAAs fed by the transition achieved the simulated realized gain of 12.9 dBi at 256.4 GHz.
