[Poster Presentation] Development of Broadband Zero-order Resonant Metamaterial Antenna

(in English) In recent years, many wireless communication systems have been implemented in smartphones and other devices. In particular, 5G and next-generation communication systems are attracting attention, and a variety of frequencies are expected to be used. In order to support these frequencies, it is necessary to broaden the bandwidth of antennas. One of the metamaterial antenna technologies is the zeroth-order resonance (zero-order resonance is a phenomenon that does not depend on the size of the antenna. However, the zeroth-order resonant metamaterial antennas reported so far have a narrow bandwidth, and it is difficult to achieve a wide bandwidth when the antenna is miniaturized. In this study, we develop and design a broadband zeroth-order resonant metamaterial antenna, aiming to realize a downsized and broadband antenna.
