In recent years, due to factors such as the declining birthrate and aging population, the demand for the implementation of autonomous driving has increased, and the use of the 760 MHz band ITS communication system as a communication method is being considered. Since communication between roadside units and vehicles is essential for utilizing this system, understanding the service area is crucial. The propagation environment is classified into Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Non Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions. Furthermore, the NLOS environment is subdivided into regions where reflected waves dominate (reflection region) and regions where diffracted waves dominate (diffraction region). In this study, we focus on the NLOS environment and use a simplified model to conduct simulations, then investigating the characteristics of reflected and diffracted waves. As a result, it was demonstrated that varying the distance from the transmission point to the intersection in the simplified model leads to different propagation characteristics for reflection and diffraction. Additionally, the study examined the dominant incoming waves in the NLOS region beyond the intersection. |
