(in English) Massive MIMO Units (MMUs) are being commercially deployed in the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G). However, the installation and maintenance of MMUs are more challenging compared to the antenna-separated BF (Beam Forming) configuration, in which the antenna and RU (Radio Unit) are connected by cables. This report describes the results of a simulation study of an antenna-separated BF that uses multiple base station multiport antennas.
