[Invited Lecture] DOCOMO's Activities on Digital-Twin toward 6G

(in English) The 6-th generation mobile communication system (6G) is expected to realize extremely high-data-rate and large-capacity communications with peak data-rate exceeding 100 Gbps and to contribute to advancement of Cyber-Physical System (CPS) by utilizing new features such as integrated sensing and communication. We have developed our original 6G system-level simulator (6G simulator) to demonstrate the feasibility of realizing 100 Gbps wireless communication using the sub-terahertz band. On the other hand, system control and optimization using CPS and digital twin are expected to be carried out for maximizing system performance, ensuring communication quality, and efficient system operation in 6G. In this presentation, we will introduce our activities on research and development toward realization of a 6G digital-twin emulator that emulates in real time the behavior of 6G wireless communication processing and radio propagation as a future extension of the 6G simulator.
