Validity Evaluation of a Markerless Motion Capture System for Measuring Sit-to-stand Movements in the Elderly

(in English) Abstract In recent years, the number of individuals requiring long-term care has been increasing,with many progressing to a state of needing care after experiencing frailty. Since frailty can be reversed to a healthy state if detected early when it is mild, early detection is crucial. This study aims to develop a system for measuring chair rise movements using a tablet device and to identify movement characteristics in elderly individuals in a frail condition. In this study, a motion measurement system using marker-less motion capture (MoCap) and Liberty, a high-precision magnetic MoCap, were used to simultaneously measure chair-rising motions, and the results were compared and evaluated to assess the validity of the motion measurement system.
