Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Japan's super-aging society is progressing, and the accompanying increase in the number of dementia patients has become a serious social issue.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, it is projected that by 2040, the elderly population aged 65 and over will account for 35.3% of the total population, of which more than 7 million will be elderly people with dementia.
Against this backdrop, dementia prevention methods and support for the elderly with dementia are gaining importance.
Current measures against memory impairment, one of the core symptoms of dementia, include methods in which caregivers record and present information and rehabilitation using memory aids such as notepads, but there are several problems.
To solve those problems, a method has been proposed to provide memory aids by recording daily activities and storing them as documents.
In this paper, we use a generative AI for storing these documents in a database used for providing feedback to users, and verify whether the 5W1H elements can be extracted appropriately from the documents, queries can be made for questions from users, and the documents can be retrieved from the database.
Based on the results, we evaluate the feasibility of an episodic memory recall support service and discuss the results.
