It is anticipated that metasurface reflectors will be employed to extend coverage in high-frequency bands that are challenging to access in non-line-of-sight scenarios. Furthermore, analysis techniques utilising ray tracing have been proposed. In this study, we introduce a method that combines the reflection pattern calculated from array factors with ray tracing for radio wave propagation analysis, including the use of metasurface reflectors. We compared the analysis results obtained from two approaches: one that calculates anomalous reflection paths based on the Engineered Electromagnetic Surface (EES) method and another that calculates reflection patterns using electromagnetic field analysis via the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. |
