As part of the scalability efforts for Beyond 5G/6G, research on underwater wireless communication is progressing.
Among these, underwater acoustic communication faces challenges in communication capacity due to frequency limitations.
Additionally, the speed of sound in water is about 1/200,000th of that of radio waves in the air, leading to significant impacts from delayed signals and Doppler effects in mobile communications.
To achieve stable, wideband communication, a large number of reference signals and synchronization signals are required, resulting in substantial overhead.
This study proposes a synchronization and waveform compensator using Deep Learning.
The proposed method aims to reduce overhead by detecting and synchronizing OFDM signals and learning to compensate for waveform stretching caused by Doppler effects |
