Recently, it has been shown that the non-classical aspects of quantum statistics can be demonstrated in a single particle three-path interferometer. However, it is not immediately obvious how these non-classical aspects should be characterized experimentally. One interesting option is the comparison of output statistics before and after a specific path is blocked. Here, I point out that maximal information can be obtained by comparing the count rates of the three output ports before and after a single path corresponding to an equal superposition of the three outputs is blocked. |
