[Poster Presentation] Generalized Second Law of Thermodynamics in Quantum Feedback-Controlled Steady-Cycle Heat Engines

(in English) We reconsider the quantum Maxwell demon which breaks the standard second law of thermodynamics via quantum measurement and feedback control. We point out that, in order to understand the importance of the feedback control in the quantum Maxwell demon, it is crucial to properly deal with the effect of the feedback control on the correlation between the working substance and a physical memory recording the measurement. We generalize the Clausius inequality bounding the heat absorbed from multiple heat baths in a steady feedback cycle in such a way that the effects of the measurement backaction and the feedback control are clear. This allows us to prove that the feedback control following bare quantum measurement is essential to break the standard Clausius inequality.
