(in English) According to an analysis of occupational accidents by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), the number of accidents involving crashes and falls in the construction industry from FY 2018 to FY 2023 was the highest in Japan. In order to prevent such accidents from occurring, it is essential to have a system that can recognize scaffolds and warn workers of dangerous conditions in advance. In this study, we propose a system that combines a 2D ToF depth sensor and an image sensor to perform image classification tasks on a wearable device in low light and noisy visibility situations. We created a model in which the depth data and image data acquired before input are fused into different channels before learning and inference, evaluated the accuracy of inference for this model and the model proposed in previous studies in different illumination conditions, and examined whether sensor fusion enables inference at a certain level even under adverse conditions. We examined whether or not sensor fusion can be used to achieve a certain level of inference even under adverse conditions.
