Colormap Creation Method Considering Perceptual Uniformity in Dichromatic Color Visions

(in English) Colormaps are correspondence between numerical values and colors and those are widely used as a means of visualizing numerical data. For accurate data representation, ``perceptual uniformity,'' which is the linear correspondence between the difference between any two values and the color difference of the colors associated with each value, is important. There is a method to generate colormaps with perceptual uniformity in the normal color vision. However, it does not consider the uniformity in dichromatic color vision. In this report, we propose a method to generate colormaps with perceptual uniformity in dichromatic color vision in addition to the normal color vision and confirm its effectiveness through experiments.
