[Special Invited Talk] Challenge in University for human resources development in international standardization

(in English) Recently, the international standardization has played an important role of a business tool. On the other hand, lack of human resources and aging and immobility of members for the international standardization are serous problems to promote this activity. To solve these problems, education in University and academic research using the international standardization should be prioritized. However, generally, necessity of international standards and their contributions to researches have not been understood sufficiently in academic fields. In this report, the latest generic trends of international standards and stans for these trends in industrial fields are surveyed. Then, directions of education programs for international standards in University are proposed. Finally, useful information provided by Standard Development Organizations for academic fields and research examples based on international standardization activities are introduced.
