In this paper, we study path prediction for an egocentric camera wearer. Previous studies on path forecasting considered people and objects observed in a video as obstacles, leading to path predictions designed to avoid these obstacles. However, depending on the relationship between the camera wearer and the surrounding people or objects (e.g., friends or items used by the camera wearer), these people or objects may not be obstacles but rather contact targets. This suggests that the relationship between the camera wearer and the surrounding people or objects may influence the wearer’s future path. In this study, we propose a trajectory prediction method that incorporates interactions with surrounding people and objects using a Transformer model with a cascaded cross-attention effectiveness of the proposed method. |
