[Poster Presentation] Phase Stabilization of DQPSK Signals Using a PSA Amplifier with Soliton Control

(in English) The phase-sensitive amplifier (PSA) exhibits gain characteristics that depend on the phase of the input optical signal, and by utilizing it for loss compensation as an alternative to conventional EDFAs, phase noise introduced during amplification can be suppressed. In DSP-free transmission systems, solitons can maintain a high SNR during transmission by
performing waveform shaping during propagation. However, in conventional systems using EDFAs, the accumulation of noise due to ASE noise generated during amplification has limited transmission performance. In this study, PSA was employed as a loss-compensation amplifier in a soliton transmission system integrated with soliton control, and its impact on soliton phase was investigated.
