(in English) Recent developments in Japan are driving progress toward the establishment of a society that actively leverages technology. However, within this broader movement, a disparity may exist between technological advancements and practical application in the field. This gap is particularly evident in areas related to safety and security, such as disaster-affected regions, where field realities remain largely unchanged. To achieve a safe and secure society, it is crucial to elucidate how the application of technology can effectively address various societal challenges.
This study presents the findings of interviews conducted with previous recipients of the "Safety and Security Best Practice Award," an accolade recognizing initiatives that have made tangible contributions to the realization of a safe and secure society. By analyzing these interviews, this paper outlines the current state and challenges associated with technology utilization in the field of safety and security.
