Functional Dijkstra Algorithm Realizing Wavelength Path Routing Based on User Demand

(in English) The request for the optical wavelength path setting that specifies the start and end node pairs must be processed quickly, reflecting individual user requirements, such as transmission quality and backup strategy. In this paper, we propose a new functional Dijkstra algorithm in which the cost of each link in an optical network is determined by a function. The function input value includes link information such as the number of wavelength paths requested by each user and the number of wavelengths available for the link. This paper proves that the proposed functional Dijkstra algorithm can find a wavelength path with the lowest path cost. In addition, by setting the function appropriately, it is shown that the proposed algorithm uses the wavelengths in the network in a balanced manner, accommodates many wavelength paths, and has a better algorithm processing speed compared to other adaptive routing algorithms.
