To detect and estimate the position of MNPs accumulated in cancer cells, we acquired magnetic signals using optically pumped magnetometer. Due to the difference in phase, the magnetic relaxation of the MNPs is affected, and the intensity of the signal changes. The excitation magnetic field for magnetizing MNPs was experimented with below the reference level of the guidelines set by the ICNIRP. Since the signal field from the magnetic nanoparticles has a phase delay due to magnetic relaxation relative to the excitation field from the coil, the phase sensitive detection of the lock-in amplifier was used to separate the respective field signals. By changing the frequency of the excitation field, the signal field intensity from the particles in the liquid phase and the solid phase was compared. As a result, the magnetic signal in the solid phase was weaker than in the liquid phase in the frequency range of 130 kHz or higher, and the change in the magnetic signal due to the difference in phase was confirmed. |
