3.7/28 GHz Band Diplexer for 5G Applications

(in English) In this study, 3.7/28 GHz band diplexer is proposed for 5G applications . This diplexer has been rarely reported because the frequency interval between the passbands is wide and designing is difficult. A 3.7 GHz band bandpass Filter(BPF)is designed and prototyped using chip capacitors and short-ended stubs to suppress higher-order resonances up to 30 GHz, and the results are compared with the electromagnetic field simulation results. In addition, the 28 GHz band BPF is designed with a substrate integrated waveguide(SIW) structure that enables low loss in the high frequency band. Furthermore, we design a diplexer using a microstrip line (MSL) as a matching circuit to connect the two BPFs, and evaluated its characteristics by circuit simulation.
