Optokinetic Nystagmus (OKN), which corresponds to the direction of attended motion, occurs. Therefore, by measuring OKN, it is possible to estimate the timing of attention shifts to targets moving in different directions. This study aims to develop an information-input interface that identifies a visual stimulus targeted by a user’s attention in real time based on OKN. In the experiment, moving random dot patterns were presented at the center of the screen, while letters rotated along a circle path centered on the center of the screen. Participants switched their attention from the central fixation point to the random dot pattern when the target letter reached a instructed position. The results demonstrate that OKN can be used to estimate the target letter. |
