Delay Control for Time Limit of Image Transmission Using IEEE 802.11ah for Maintenance of Infrastructure Facilities in Mountainous Areas

(in English) This study examines image transmission using LPWA between infrastructure facilities and base stations in mountainous areas. As low power wide area (LPWA), we use IEEE 802.11ah, a 920 MHz band wireless LAN capable of image transmission. When using 11ah in Japan, there are restrictions, such as reducing the transmission time to 1/10. It is an issue that a delay and frame loss could occur if an image with a data size larger than the data that can be sent in one transmission time could be sent. Therefore, we developed the dynamic control method of the image size according to the delay time and showed a decrease in the delay time through experiments.
