Japan is a disaster-prone country, and it is necessary to take immediate countermeasures against disasters that are predicted to occur in the future, such as the Nankai Trough earthquake and an earthquake directly under the Tokyo metropolitan area. The author has proposed a population distribution estimation system with the use of low earth orbit satellites (LEO) to be the solution to this problem. However, the previous studies were limited to numerical calculations under ideal conditions, and it is necessary to consider more detailed conditions such as topography and directivity of receiving antennas. In this study, we introduce a 3D model of the area around Toyohashi Station in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, which is predicted to be severely damaged by a Nankai Trough earthquake and conduct a basic study on the feasibility of the proposed system, assuming ideal receiving antenna directivity. |
