Multi-fiber optical connectors are widely used in data centers and AI clusters. The most famous multi-fiber connector, the MPO connector, is composed of an MT ferrule, which is made using precision molding technology. MT ferrules are initially developed for connecting multi-fiber optical cables in the telecommunications industry. This paper introduces the evolution of multi-fiber connector technology from the early development of the MT connector to the present day. |
