[Short Paper] Athlete detection, tracking and speed measurement using YOLO in track and field sports

(in English) In athletics measurement, time measurement is the mainstream, and manual measurement using a stopwatch or specialized measurement devices are employed. On the other hand, the measurement results are only reviewed afterwards, and do not support the calculation and presentation of speed on the spot. In this study, we propose a system that uses YOLO to detect and track a person's speed from camera images only, and calculates, presents, and records the person's position and speed in real time using the person's height as a constraint, in order to enable leaders and players to measure speed and plan strategies without the use of special equipment.
