Implementation Evaluation of Moderated Attribute-based Transmission Order Control Method in DTN

(in English) DTN is attracting attention as a means of collecting and distributing information during disasters through terminal-to-terminal communications, without using existing network infrastructure. During disasters, private data of low public nature, such as safety confirmation, is often exchanged between individuals. If the volume of private data sent and received using DTN becomes too large, data of high public nature, such as evacuation information, may not be received. To address this problem, MATOC (Modeled Attribute-based Transmission Order Control) has been proposed to control the number of data to be transmitted by defining importance levels based on the public nature of each data and setting transmission probabilities according to the importance levels. MATOC (Modeled Attribute-based Transmission Order Control) has been proposed; the effectiveness of MATOC has only been demonstrated by simulation. In this study, we implemented DTN communication function and MATOC using ESP32, a small device, and evaluated its performance in a real environment for the purpose of improving the accuracy of future simulations and its application to real environments. Experiments confirmed that transmission control using MATOC was implemented.
